RAMON FAURA

A previously unseen exhibition by Barcelona-born Catalan painter Ramon Faura, who is little-known today despite a career marked by numerous exhibitions in France in the 70s and 80s. A singular body of work of great color intensity, whose composition clashes with the movement and fixity of some of his figures. Far from classical figurative representation, his paintings capture the fleeting essence of existence, playing on the superimposition of spaces to evoke the passage of time and the fragility of memory. The Collections de Saint-Cyprien are giving a new place to this emblematic figure of twentieth-century Catalan art.
