THE CERAMIC GESTURE – PART 2
The exhibition offers an intimate dialogue between the functional terracottas of Roussillon and the contemporary work of Natàlia Ferré. In both worlds, the sincerity of the gesture resonates, that of an age-old jar and that of a female silhouette, giving birth to form under the pressure of modelling. The potters of yesteryear shaped their pieces to meet everyday needs, while Natàlia’s concerns are those of celebrating the female body in an organic approach to revealing its presence. The Collections offer a silent, timeless dialogue between tradition and creation.
NATALIA FERRE
Natàlia Ferré is a sculptor, ceramist, painter and gallery owner. Her figurative sculptures, both large and small, are combined with acrylic or oil paint to create her own unique style. In 2009, she opened the Natàlia Ferré gallery in Montblanc, where she sells her own work and that of other artists, and also teaches figurative sculpture modeling.
