From May 13 to August 26, 2023, Les Collections de Saint-Cyprien presented an exhibition of works by Marc Trabys, a talented painter whose abstract canvases blend color and light with great pictorial poetry. The public was able to discover Marc Trabys’ unique and personal vision, inspired by nature and its elements to create vibrant and expressive works. Her expansive gestures, transcribed in her paintings, give life to inner landscapes where emotion and contemplation meet. The exhibition was a great success, attracting many visitors fascinated by the beauty and depth of Marc Trabys’ work. A true artistic journey that allowed visitors to reconnect with nature and its essential elements.

    Marc Trabys

Like Orpheus, Marc Trabys enchants the eye with his painting, a veritable musical calligraphy of poetic and colorful sonorities. It’s a journey, an immersion in the abstraction of his own paradoxical, contrasting reality. The words cosmos, earth, sea, landscape, nature and chaos form a singular, lyrical pictorial style that cannot be imitated, so persuasive is it. A highly orchestrated phraseology, sensitive to the pains and joys of humanity, giving his painting a universal meaning. The very treatment of the material corresponds to an idea of disorder, instability and even obscurity in certain canvases, but the painter’s creative energy captures its beauty and treats it with vitality. His abstract compositions hint at a poetry of colors, airy, floating, submerging, even intoxicating, like a chromatic vertigo with no horizon to fix his vision, a rapture for the eye, an embellishment for the spirit. Les Collections de Saint-Cyprien are honoured to host the exhibition “Le Paradoxe de la Lumière”, an ongoing cultural initiative to promote local artists.
