Jackie Kennedy – Tell me about love
The exhibition highlights the Kennedys’ emotional attachment to France, and in particular to its history and artists. The story, presented here in a moving, unique way, retraces the high points of Jackie and this mythical family: their meeting at Martha and Charles Bartlett’s home in 1952, their marriage on September 12, 1953, the presidential campaign of 1960, the 1007 days of the presidency, the dramatic events in Dallas, President Kennedy’s funeral orchestrated by Jackie…
Several characters run through the story: Father Leonard, the Secret Service agent, Clint Hill, Lem Billings, John’s best friend from their days at Choate College. The great richness of this collection lies in the quality of the photographs, the rarity of most of them, and the style of David Lawrence. A long-time contributor to the Kennedy archives, he is one of the leading specialists on President Kennedy, and has enjoyed the support of the Kennedy family since his first exhibition in 1998.
The exhibition catalog is now available, featuring all the photographs and texts from the exhibition.
