Les gestes en dialogue” exhibition: a tribute to know-how turned into art

From February 25 to April 30, 2023, Les Collections de Saint-Cyprien presented the exhibition “Les gestes en dialogue”, a unique encounter between two worlds: cabinetmaking and rugby.

Two professions, two arts, seemingly incompatible, but which the exhibition has brilliantly brought to light.

The public was treated to the precise, delicate gestures of Pierre Armengaud, a renowned master cabinet-maker, as he sculpted a wooden oval ball. A work of remarkable finesse and precision, which fascinated visitors.

At the same time, the exhibition showcased the powerful, athletic gestures of USAP rugby players. Stunning photos that capture the power and beauty of movement in this intense sport.

More than just an exhibition, “Les gestes en dialogue” was a genuine dialogue between two art forms. A dialogue that highlighted the precision, dexterity and passion that drive both artists and athletes.

Organized in collaboration with USAP, the France Rugby association and the Ambassadors’ Club, and with the exceptional support of artists Charlélie Couture, Dysabo, Marion Moulin and Laeticia Guibauld, the exhibition was a real success.

An unexpected and astonishing scenography offered visitors a unique visual, emotional and sensory experience.

A true tribute to craftsmanship elevated to an art form, which has left a lasting impression.
