JOURNEES EUROPEENNES DU PATRIMOINE
As part of the 2026 European Heritage Days, on the theme of ‘Heritage at Risk’, a programme of events is on offer focusing on maritime heritage and Catalan fishing traditions.
Saturday 19 September 2026
10.00 am – 12.00 pm:
Completion of the huts with public participation (Els Mariners Cebrianencs Association)
2.00 pm – 6.00 pm:
Demonstrations and discussions on maritime skills: nautical knots, nets, and a presentation on the history of the Catalan fishing boat (Els Mariners Cebrianencs Association)
3.00 pm – 5.00 pm:
Educational workshops on the Mediterranean: learning about cetaceans, the seabed, the history of fishermen and creative activities (Eveil-Rando Association)
Model-making workshop on the Pyrénées-Orientales coastline (Nostra Mar Association)
2 one-hour workshops, booking required (maximum 10–12 people per workshop). Themes: biodiversity, human activities and the impacts of climate change

10.00 – 18.00:
Activities and events centred on the fishermen’s huts and the Catalan fishing boat, organised exclusively by the Els Mariners Cebrianencs association
Discussions with the public and demonstrations of traditional skills
