Led by the artist V\u00e9ronique Ricart<br \/>\nWhat is a portrait? Do we have to show a face or a body to represent a person?<br \/>\nIn this workshop, children will be invited to reflect on who we are beyond our outward appearance. Drawing on Ben and Sarah\u2019s photographic work on portraiture, they will discover that a person can be represented through words, objects, colours or symbols.<br \/>\nEach participant will begin by writing a few words that represent them \u2014 or that describe a person of their choice: qualities, passions, memories, emotions.<br \/>\nThen, on a sheet of paper or card, they will create a symbolic and colourful portrait \u2013 without necessarily drawing the body \u2013 using the technique of their choice: drawing, collage, painting or an assemblage of images.<br \/>\nThis workshop celebrates inner richness and freedom of expression, whilst raising awareness of the diversity of ways in which we can represent ourselves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Creative workshop for children aged 6 and over.
